We are working on consolidating NCMIR data under one iRODS environment. We will use this opportunity to increase performance by placing the iRODS "slave" functionality on the Solaris servers to eliminate NFS overhead. We will also take this opportunity to reorganize the data, primarily to shorten paths to the data.
Looking at the current path, "/telescience/home/CCDB_DATA_USER.portal/CCDB_DATA_USER/acquisition/project_20321/...", I propose we modify it to be, well, shorter. As a first proposal, how 'bout:
